SALTY THE SPRINTER

This medium wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter is now as fully finished van conversion ready for long haul trips and weekenders.

Salty is based off our Signature Build Package ‘Boulder’ – a 2 berth off-grid campervan with a double bed, ensuite, kitchen, multiple storage areas, a garage and a dining area at the front cabin swivel seats. Aside from the colour scheme, the main change was to the cabinetry to accommodate a keyboard, which you’ll see below.

The ceiling is made of lightweight, hardwood linings in a V-groove pattern and a clear coat finish while the walls are a white shiplap lending the coastal vibes. The floor is a durable, waterproof spotted gum. Soft quartz carpet trims right up to the edges of the van. The lighting is carefully zoned with ambient recessed white downlights and LED strip lighting.

Salty has climate control for all seasons. It equipped with a Dometic air conditioner, diesel heating, and diesel hot water, supported by a MaxxFan Deluxe roof vent, a Sirocco fan in the bed area, and a dedicated shower roof vent.

As always with BFA, this van is built for off-grid adventuring. The system is centred around a 400Ah lithium battery setup with a 3000W inverter/charger and roof-mounted solar. The Enerdrive eSYS system provides seamless power management with Bluetooth monitoring. Altogether this provides, multiple USB and 240V outlets, touch-switch controls, and certified electrical compliance.

The kitchen is compact yet highly functional, featuring a white sink, brushed brass tapware, 85L Bushman fridge, and a portable induction cooktop, with a flip up benchtop extension which is a perfect addition in these tight spaces.

The ensuite bathroom continues the coastal aesthetic, finished with rose-gold marble wall panels, brushed brass fixtures, and a tiled shower floor. A sliding shower door with retractable screen keeps the space practical, while underbody fresh and grey water tanks support extended off-grid stays.

Finishing touches include a removable dining table at the swivel seats, our thermal block-out window covers, and a soft curtain partition between cab and living space.
