SIREN THE SPRINTER

With more cool features than you could shake a stick at, Siren was a fun build for some fun clients. We’ll do our best to list all the inclusions in this MWB Mercedes Sprinter here.

But before we do, safety first! As with all our builds, Siren comes with full campervan certification including electrical and engineering certificates, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher and is well under GVM.

Now for the fun stuff, let’s start with the epic off-grid Enerdrive electrical system which has 400 amps of Lithium batteries, a 2600 watt inverter and DCDC charging from the solar and the alternator, meaning there is no need to plug into mains, even while running the air conditioner, heater, hot water service, induction cooker, microwave, TV or the coffee machine which has it’s very own slide out drawer.

Siren has our signature lightweight hardwood ceiling and wall linings, black laminated poplar as well as our lightweight carcas material. Soft close drawers and gold half-moon RV Labs handles bring some extra class to the finishes and the full length LEDs in the ceiling and overhead cabinets are all dimmable so you can get the vibe ‘just right’.

The owner’s wonderful doggo companion will be joining them on their adVANtures so ensuring optimum comfort for them both was important. There is a dedicated drawer for both dog food and dog toys, bowls and snacks as well as a custom-made dog bed support which goes up front to allow her to ride there safely connected to the passenger seat restraint.

Continuing in the theme of comfort, the bed, which extends into the allowing wall structure, has a custom made inner spring mattress. Add to that a gooseneck reading light, 12v fan and storage nets for all those little things you want handy during the night.

Further features include a Lagun swivel table with mounts at the front cabin swivel seats, a full set of our window covers for enhanced climate control and privacy and a tv, which has both antenna and 5G reception. The TV sits on an extending arm with swivel so you can view it from any part of the van.

There are bespoke storage solutions throughout - two pantry cabinets on top of one other beside the 130L Bushman Fridge which has further storage above and below, overhead storage above the bed and kitchen, customised kitchen storage drawers on the passenger side and a full length heavy duty storage drawer in the garage.

In terms of plumbing, we have 95L of internally mounted fresh water and 95L of externally mounted grey (for those of you self-building, don’t forget - grey water is a requirement whenever you have fresh water plumbed!). There is also a diesel heated hot water and heating system, Shurflo water pump, extending gooseneck tap, quartz carbon sink, sophisticated shower hardware and our favourite composting toilet - the OGO. The toilet has a fixed location in the ensuite shower BUT we tailored a mount so it is possible to remove it from the shower area - we are all for versatility here. The shower is a custom size with stainless tray, non-slip matting and designer finished PVC walls as well as our new sliding door screens which you will see in all our builds with showers from now on!

The status of the plumbing and electrical is simple to keep track of with the Enerdrive Simarine LCD display screen.

Siren has as many features externally as there is internally. Namely, a Front Runner roof rack, Fiamma F45 Awning, Maxx Fann Deluxe with a custom black spray job, Dometic air conditioner, solar, 5G extender, antenna, Front Runner side ladder, Front Runner light bar, Owl Vans tire carrier, Owl Vans storage box, side and rear flyscreens and an additional sliding door window with flyscreen for added visibility and air flow.

Nestled neatly into the cabinetry you’ll also find a Front Runner Stainless Camp Table and a black Gusto cleaning device which fits in perfectly at the side door ready to brush and blow off the dirt and sand from both human and doggo!

As with all our builds, it has been completed with our signature three stage sound deadening and insulation, including trims finished with meticulously applied stretch carpet and made to order BFA window covers.
